dōTERRA Healing Hands foundation supported a practical echocardiography training program for Dr Mohamed who spent February and March 2021 in Nairobi, Kenya.
“My experience with African Heart Associates was a fantastic opportunity. I have learnt how to screen and interpret children and adult echocardiography with hands-on experience in the most prestigious hospitals in Nairobi like Aga Khan, and MP Shah Hospital, and Gertrude’s children’s hospital.
I am happy that I am already practicing what I have learnt and helping my community. During the first week that the hospital opened I saw a patient that was told to go to Hargeisa just for an echo. It was so satisfying for me and the patient that it was done in her hometown in Erigavo for the first time, and a lot of time and money was saved for her.”
